Mr. Herman Arlen Duncan of Joyner passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at his home.  He was an avid fisherman and loved Coalfield High School Football. He retired from Boeing in Oak Ridge and was also in the Navy and served during the Korean War. He was also a member of the Union Baptist Church.

 

Herman is preceded in death by his parents, William and wife Georgie Duncan; sister, Leeda Duncan and his beloved wife of 53 years Jackie Duncan.

 

He is survived by his son, Rex (Melanie) Duncan of Kodak and Chris (Denise) Duncan of Joyner; daughter, Laura (Allan) Bunch of Joyner.

Grandchildren, Josh (Jennifer) Duncan, Ashleigh (Steven) Day, Todd Tinker, Justin Duncan, Caleb (Felicia) Bunch, Cody Duncan and Lucian Bunch;

2 great-grandchildren, Kaden and Kolton Duncan.

And a host of special friends.

 

The family will receive friends; Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with the funeral to follow at 7:00 p.m.,  with Bro. Josh Lowe officiating.  Graveside will be Monday, November 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Union Church Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Coalfield High School Football program P.O. Box 98 Coalfield, TN 37719.
