Adel Massengale, of Petros, TN

Adel Massengale, age 84, of Petros passed away July 1, 2019 at U.T. Medical Center.  She was born December 2, 1934.

Adel was a member of the Oliver Springs Church of Christ.  She loved taking care of her family and was always kind to everyone she knew and met.  Adel retired from Regions Bank of 43 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dewey & Clarabell West; siblings, R.W. West, Lytle West, Onalene Lowe, Della Sue Bradford and Jimmy Dale West.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Edward Massengale; son, Eddie (Urshula) Massengale; grandchildren, Samantha (Adam) Lloyd, Sierra (Derek) Bunch, Destiney (Chase) Brown, Austinn (Emma) Massengale and Stella Barrett; great grandchildren, Ella, Emory, Callie, Carlie, Case, Bo and Adelynn; brother-in-law, Tinsley Lowe; best friend and cousin, Bessie Joe; special fur baby, Rimmy and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 5, 2019 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with the funeral to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Tim Nelson and Dr. Jim West officiating.  Interment will follow in the New Petros Cemetery.
