A.J. Melton

Mr. A.J. Melton, age 72, of Harriman passed away January 15, 2010 in a tragic fire at his home. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee.
Mr. Melton most recently worked for several large hospital corporations in Saudia Arabia, New York, and Florida before retiring in the late 1980's.
He was of the Baptist faith and a proud member of Perseverance Masonic Lodge Number 59 in Plymouth, N.C. where he became a Master Mason.

Mr. Melton was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Edith Melton,
brothers, Roy H. and Edwin Melton.

Survivors include 3 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Cindy and Rusty Wright of Kingston, Kathy McKinzie of Houston, TX., Robin and Jimmy Browning of Houston, TX.,
5 grandchildren, Hollye Selway, Kevin Garcia, Matthew Wright, Sarah Wright and Cara Browning.
2 great-grandchildren, Gabby Selway and Troy Selway.
A special sister-in-law, Liz Melton,
2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Margie and C.G. Sexton, Wanda and James Smith.
Nephews and nieces, Mark Melton, Tammy Melton, David Smith and Sharon Fuller.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 12-2:00 p.m.
Memorial services will follow with Rev. Mason Goodman officiating.
Interment will be in Clear Creek cemetery, Lancing, Tennessee.
