Arthur Willis Brown, age 90, passed away March 10, 2026 at Life Care of Morgan County.

He is preceded in death by parents Floyd and Martha; first wife (Dixie); son John; step daughter Malissa and sisters (Martha, Edith, Marie and Rosie).

Arthur is survived by wife Marjorie; sons Wendell Brown of New Market, TN and Jeremiah (Lynn) Brown of Oak Ridge, TN.; 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Arthur married Dixie Baker in 1965 and was married to her until her death in 1996. They had 3 sons, Wendell, John and Jeremiah. He married Marjorie in 1997.

Arthur was a member of the US Army from the ages of 22-24. He was a heavy equipment operator with Conner Brothers Excavating for 30 years and had a hand in building many subdivisions in the west Knoxville area. He lived in many different places, including Port Comfort and Yokum Texas as well as Harriman and Knoxville Tennessee. He eventually settled in Deer Lodge, TN.

In his later years, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved to cook, spend time in his garden and to sing. He treasured his time as part of the congregation of Pilot Mountain Baptist Church. He had a knack for telling great stories and was always ready with a "dad joke."

The family will have a graveside service Friday, March 13, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Josh Baldwin officiating in the Island Ford Cemetery in Lancing.
