Authur Worbington

Arthur Worbington, age 56 of Petros went to be with the Lord on July 9, 2025.

He was born in Jackson, Mississippi.

Arthur is preceded in death by his stepdaughter Jennifer Jones of Gainsboro.; parents J.B. & Maudie Worbington; father and mother-in-law J.W. and Melvalene; sister-in-law Kim Norman; brothers-in-law John and James Daugherty; nephew Danile Norman; niece Amanda Daugherty.

He is survived by his loving wife Sherry Worbington of Petors; daughter Bonita “Our Little Girl”; sons Aidan Reynolds of Petros and Andrew Reynolds of Knox Co.; stepdaughter and husband Tonya and Greg Hamlet of Gainesboro, Tn.; step grandson and wife Bradley and Autumn Hamlet of Corryton, TN.; sister in law Mary Lou Hensley; brother-in-law Mark (Chick) Norman; nephew Brandon Martin, Jeremiah Norman, Noah Daugherty, James (Staci) Daugherty, T.J. Daugherty. Trevon (Goob) Hensley; niece Jamie Daugherty, Tammy Randolph and Maria Kennedy; very special friends Julie & J.R. Wilson, Chris & Christy Hawkins, Deb & Randy Miller, Jason Massengill, all the woman from the jailhouse ministry in Wartburg.

Arthur was a aircraft mechanic at McGee Tyson Airport in Alcoa for many years. He was the king of person who loved life. He loved making people laugh. He was the life of the party.

The family will have a graveside service Friday, July 18, 2025 at the New Petros Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. James Daugherty officiating.
