Benjamin “Bennie” Bunch

December 5, 1950 — June 1, 2024

Mr. Bejamin “Benny” Lucian Bunch of Wartburg passed away on Saturday, June 1st, 2024 at his home. Benny lived his life as he wanted to. He enjoyed repairing cars, riding motorcycles, and going to storage auctions. As he aged and his health declined, he unfortunately was unable to enjoy these things to the same degree. During this time he made many friends and enjoyed time talking to family. He spoke frequently to his niece Lisa Chappell—who he affectionately referred to as ‘sis’—and she held a special place in his heart; as did his great nephew Preston Lee Chappell. His wishes following his death were to be cremated, and the family are respecting his wishes and intend to have a small ceremonial gathering where his ashes will be buried alongside his beloved mother at the Oliver Springs Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lucion Byrd Bunch; his mother, Myrtie Carroll Bunch; his daughter, Felicia Bunch; and his niece, Tina Braden. He is survived by his son Shaun Lucian Bunch; his older sisters, Joanne (Mac) Lindsay and Helen (Glen) Carroll; and his younger brother, Jackie (Brenda) Allen Bunch. His nieces who survive him in death are Lisa Chappell and Renee Bunch. His nephews who survive him in death are Brian Carroll, Dustin Carroll, and Jackie Allan Bunch Jr. Additionally, he is survived by numerous great nieces and nephews. Furthermore, he is survived by several special friends, including, Sharon Ellison, Roger Arms, and James West.

The graveside services will be held pursuant to his wishes at an undecided time in the future.
