Carl Jones

Mr. Carl V. "C.V." Jones, age 75 entered into rest May 2, 2010 at the Life Care Center of Morgan County in Wartburg. He was a resident of Sunbright. Born and raised in Glenmary, TN, he was the son of Herman and Nettie Jeffers Jones. He served in the US Army and a member of Masonic Lodge 670. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Glenmary Baptist Church. He was also the owner and operator of Jones Texaco Station in Deer Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Langley Jones; parents, Herman and Nettie Jeffers Jones; sisters: Mabel Christine Jones Warren, Nola Jane Jones Vihlen, infant sister, Helen Bernice Jones, and infant sister Gertrude Jones; brothers: Tom J. Jones, Herman Jones Jr., Earl R. Jones Donnie Ray Jones, Ronald M. (Ronnie) Jones , and infant brother, Ernest Hugh Jones

Mr. Jones is survived by Frank A. Jones of Elgin, TN; Fred E. Jones of Sebastian FL; Allen L. Jones and wife, Wanda of Oneida; Shirley Fay Jones Parton and husband, Clyde of Oneida; Sue Bowling of Indianapolis, IN; Clara E. Jones Byrge and husband, Leslie of Newport News, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, community of friends, and neighbors.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 6th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Sunbright. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Bro. Cecil Goode officiating. Masonic services will follow the funeral service. Graveside services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Deer Lodge.
