Carolyn Beene, of Wartburg, TN

Carolyn J. Beene passed away Monday, February 20, 2017. She is a retired Registered Nurse for the State of Tennessee Corrections. She attended Mossy Grove Baptist Church and was also a member of Morgan County Bass Anglers.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Asa and Rema Dixie Powell; brother, Danny Powell and mother, Helen Neeley.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Beene, son, Eric and wife Kristy Schaefer; daughters: Stephanie Schaefer, Jackie and husband Rodney Inman, and Heidi Beene; grandchildren: Caleb, Jacob, and Emerald Overholt, Wesley Schaefer, Brittany and husband Chris Jones, Hailey and Isaac Inman, James Lyles, and Jerry Beene; several brothers and sisters; special friends, Pat Simms, Helen Bullen, and Wanda Nyberg; along with several cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends Wednesday February 22 from 6:00-8:00, funeral at 8:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with Bro. Jim Disney officiating. Graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Old Petros Cemetery.
