Daniel Duncan

Mr. Daniel Elwood Duncan, age 93, of Joyner Community passed away November 16, 2009 at his home after a long illness. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was Commander of the Morgan County American Legion where he was a member for 64 years.
He was preceded in death by father and mother; Ernest and Mary Jane (Allen) Duncan, brothers; Randal and Burl and grandson Dana Basler.

Mr. Duncan is survived by wife of 64 years; Betty Lou (Wilson) Duncan.
Daughters; Beverly (Jerry) Basler and Elaine Foust.
Son; Danny of Georgia.
9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday November 18, 2009 from 6 to 8:00 P.M. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral service will be Thursday at
11:00 A.M. at Union Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Jernigan officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Duncan will be taken to the church one hour prior to the funeral.
