Darrell Ward

Darrell Wayne Ward, (Dane), age 65 of Petros passed away suddenly at his home Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Mr. Ward was a 30 year employee of the State of Tennessee working two years at Lakeshore Mental Health Hospital and 28 years as a Correctional Officer at Brushy Mountain and Morgan County Correctional Facility as well as a member of Ironworkers Local 384 in Knoxville working at both Watts Bar and Hartsville Nuclear Facilities. He was also a member of the Black Diamond Lodge #625 and Sunrise Order Of Eastern Star #364. He is preceded in death by his wife: Sheena Harris Ward, Parents: Basil and Lida Ward, Grandparents: H.B. and Ora Adkisson Ward and C.L. and Willie Mae McCoy Liles, Father and Mother-In-Law: Junior and Ruth Harris, Brother-In-Law: Kenneth Harris and Sister-In-Law: Diana Harris.

Mr. Ward is survived by Son: Basil Wayne and Carmen Ward and
Grandchildren: Madison and Zachary Ward of Wartburg
Sisters: Patricia Harris and Alice Dagley of Petros
Sisters-In-Law and Brothers-In-Law: Owen and Claire Harris, Paul and Lou Harris, Porky and Dean Harris, John and Debra Baker, Lisa Armes, Tim Harris and Cindy Turpin and Lana Harris
Aunt and Uncles: Betty and B.J. Wright, Shelby and Baxter Trail and Lula Seiber all of Petros and Inela Phillips of Oliver Springs as well as
Very special cousins: David Ward, Mike Redmon, Mark Tucker and Mark Norman.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 30, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00pm at Schubert Funeral Home Wartburg with a Masonic and Funeral Service to follow with Bro. Don Long officiating. Graveside Services will be Sunday July 1, 2012 at 2:00pm at the New Petros Cemetery.
