David Woody Garrett

David Woodrow “Woody” Garrett of Lancing, TN passed away August 1, 2026, at the age of 60. Woody was born on December 8, 1965, in Mooresville, NC and raised in Lancing, TN.

Woody is survived by his wife, Louann Brown Garrett; Children: Joshua and wife Crystal, Whitney and husband Chris. Stepchildren: Samantha and husband Nathan, Nick and wife Jessica, and their mother, Cynthia Garrett. Grandchildren: Colton Isham, Emery Redmon, Kara Redmon, Henry Garrett and Lily Garrett. 4 Step-Grandchildren. Parents: David and Bobby Garrett. Sisters Elizabeth and husband Keith Hawn; Pamela Garrett and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Woody retired from TDOC after many years of dedicated service. Woody lived a life filled with kindness, laughter, and service to others. Woody was an avid outdoorsman, loved fishing, four-wheeling and piddling around in the garage and barn. Woody is very loved andwill be missed dearly by all.

A Graveside Service will be held for family and friends on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Annadale Baptist Church Cemetery.
