Doris Kennedy

Doris Marie Tompkins Kennedy of Deer Lodge passed away January 8, 2013 at the age of
70. She was born July 16, 1942 in Pickett County Tennessee. She was preceded in
death by her son: Michael Anthony Kennedy, Parents: Coy Tompkins and Gladys Cole
Tompkins and Brother: Lindell Howard Tompkins. Sister-in-law: Thelma Brown and
Carolyn Human. Brother-in-laws: Frank Kennedy and Charles Kennedy.

She is survived by her husband: George Kennedy
Son: Paul Leon Kennedy of Deer Lodge
Grandson: Christian Redmon of Lancing
Brothers: Harold Tompkins and wife Sharon of Sunbright, Bobby Tompkins and wife

Host of great nieces and nephews.
Dorsie (as everyone lovingly called her) was an accomplished writer and artist. She
loved her family and friends, animals, outdoor scenery and working the crossword
puzzle. She was a shining example of how to enjoy life to its fullest. She was a
member of Deer Lodge Congregational Church, UCC and served as the Church Secretary.
Visitation will be at Schubert Funeral Home Sunbright, Friday, January 11, 2013 from
6:00 to 8:00PM. Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11:00AM at
Deer Lodge Congregational Church, UCC with Pastor Rose Hermonat officiating.
Interment will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Deer Lodge.
