Eddie Lee “Possum” Durham, age 62 of Deer Lodge passed away March 10, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. Eddie worked for 25 years hanging cable and 8 years for Cobb Vantress. He loved deer hunting and going fishing but most of all he loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a loving and caring husband, father and “papaw”.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hershel and Josephine Durham; brothers, Roland, Ronald and Roger Durham; sisters, Rosalee Durham and Wilma Durham; sister-in-law, Bonnie Durham.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Dennise Durham of Deer Lodge; sons, Eddie Kilby and Dwayne Durham both of Deer Lodge; daughters, Kayla (Justin) Vaughn of Nashville and Amanda Wright of Jamestown; grandchildren, Justin and Nash Vaughn, Blake Kilby, Blake Delk, Dustin and Jaxon Wright, and Ismayla Martynowiez; brothers, Reed (Bonnie) Durham, Nolan Durham both of Mt. Juliet, Dave (Betty) Durham of Kingsberry, Indiana; sisters, Peggy (Gary) Morgan of Sunbright, Rhonda (Tom) Biddle of Wartburg, Joann (Teddy) Hawn of Frankford Community and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 13, 2020 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chestnut Ridge Community Church with Bro. Doug Morgan and Bro. Wayne Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Grove Cemetery in Sunbright.
