Edna Shannon

Mrs. Edna Louise Shannon, was united with Jesus on December 22, 2009 after a long illness. She was preceded in death by parents; Richard and Gypsy Rose Woods, brothers; Ernest, Claude, Melvin, John and Leo and sister Margie.

Mrs. Shannon is survived by husband of 63 years Houston Shannon.
Daughters; and sons-in-law; Sandy and Steve Shirks and Doris (Pud)
and Roy Langley.
Three granddaughters; Stephanie and Joe Vespie, Joanna Shirks and
Whitney Shirks.
Two grandsons; John and Melissa Langley, Nat and Devon Langley and guardian grandson; C.J. Porter.
She was a wonderful great-grandmother of 11; Stephen Nance and Maggie Shirks;
Jess and Makayla Langley; Luke, Ezekiel and Emily Vespie; Jackson and Warren Langley; and Houston and Haley Porter.
Sister; Anna Mae Morgan of Arizona.
She is also survived by special friend and caregiver; Lula Wicks and loving nurses Jo Ann Spurling and Joyce Lloyd.
The family will receive friends Wednesday December 23, 2009 from
5:30 to 7:30 P.M. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral service will follow at 7:30 P.M. with Bro. David Goodman and Bro. Roy Langley officiating.
Graveside service will be Thursday at 11:00 A.M. in Liberty Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers; John Langley, Nat Langley, C. J. Porter, Stephen Nance, Johnny Sherrill and Joe Vespie.
