Edward Massengale, of Petros, TN

Edward “Ed” Massengale, age 82 of Petros, TN passed away December 8, 2019.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved farming, coon hunting and being around his family.  He was a member of the Petros Baptist Church and a member of the Black Diamond Lodge of 53 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Adel Massengale; parents, Emitt  and Dicie (Phillips) Massengale; brother, Emitt “Bubby” Massengale; sisters, Mae Phillips and Jurline Martin.

He is survived by his son, Eddie (Urshula) Massengale; grandchildren, Samantha (Adam) Lloyd, Sierra (Derek) Bunch, Destiney (Chase) Brown, Austinn (Emma) Massengale and Stella Barrett; great grandchildren, Ella, Emory, Callie, Carlie, Case, Bo and Adelynn; brother, EJ (Vella) Massengale; special fur buddy, Rimmy and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 12, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with the funeral to follow at 4:00 p.m.  with Dr. Jim West officiating.  Interment will follow in the New Petros Cemetery in Petros.
