Eugene Wayne Galloway, formerly of Sunbright

Eugene Wayne Galloway, born April 16, 1948 passed away October 23, 2020.

Gene grew up in the Pleasant Ridge Community and went to Sunbright School.  After graduation he moved to Utica, Michigan.  He was inducted in the Army shortly after and spent most of his time in Vietnam.  He has resided in Michigan, TN, and North Carolina.  Gene was the youngest of eight children.  He will join his parents, Lee O. and Gertrude Galloway; brothers, Charles, James and Darnce; sisters, Leta Countryman and Joyce Miller.

He is survived by his children, Lisa, Amy, Amanda and Daniell; brother, Paul Galloway and wife, Judy; sister, Faye Cutshaw and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.  He leaves behind his extended family in North Carolina, Tony and Darcy Whitaker and family who he has lived with for several years.

The family will have a graveside service Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Union Grove Cemetery with Rev. Frank Kirby officiating.
