Evelyn Griffin

Mrs. Evelyn Griffin, age 70 of Rockwood, formerly of Morgan County, passed away Friday, October 29, 2010. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by parents: Stobert and Virgie Smith; siblings: Wilda Redmon, Paul Smith, Elsie Smith, and Dewey Smith.

She is survived by her children: Regina Yake of West Palm Beach, FL, Jessica Whitman of Cumming, GA, Kevin Griffin of Cumming, GA, and Shane Griffin of Rockwood; grandchildren: Brookie Yake, Christopher Yake, Tasha Lowery, Ashley Nieves, Jordan Griffin, Zachary Griffin, Aaron Griffin, and Alex Griffin; great, grandchildren: Nicholas Yake, Kane Lowery, and Dominic Nieves; siblings: Wilford Smith, Francis Smith, Jerome Smith, Trudy Kautz, Dartha Carlton, Johnny Smith, Pam Zenn, Larry Smith, and Cindy Boyer; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

The family will receive friends Sunday, October 31, 2010 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in the Kubley Cemetery.
