Gayle Shoemaker

Sandra Gayle Shoemaker, age 68 of Sunbright, passed away Friday February 21, 2025 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Gayle, as she was known by her family and friends, was a very loving wife, mom, GiGi, sister, aunt, and friend.

Gayle is preceded in death by her parents, Onlee and Laurine Human; father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Gertie Shoemaker; son, "Lil' Den" Dennis E. Shoemaker; brothers: Carl Wayne, Ernest, James Lee, and Robert Earl; sisters: Linda Dale Human, Laura Dawn Hensley; and special grandson, Isaac Lance Human.

Gayle is survived by her loving husband, Dennis, of 43 years; sons: Frankie Shoemaker and Brenda Brown, and Jonathan Human and special daughter-in-law and care taker, Denise Human, all of Sunbright; four grandchildren that loved her dearly: Samantha Shoemaker of Wartburg, Elijah, Whitley, and Davinity Human of Sunbright; four great-grandchildren: Russell, Jayden, Gunnar, and Declan; sister, Sheila (David) Weston of Rockwood, TN; sisters-in-law: Reba Sexton Human of Wartburg, TN; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and very special friends: Greg, Vickie, Derek and Anna Marie Kelly all of Jackson, TN.

The family will receive friends Tuesday February 25 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg. The funeral will be Wednesday February 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Morgan and Bro. Steve Gadd officiating. Interment will immediately follow at the Shoemaker Cemetery in Elgin, TN.
