Georgia Henry

Mrs. Georgia Henry, age 96 of Scott County, passed way Wednesday, February 24, 2010 in the Briarcliff Health Care Center of Oak Ridge. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in the Mill Creek Community. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hurstle Henry; son, Douglas; daughters: Brenda Kay and Sharon.

She is survived by her daughters: Syble Stringfield and husband, Virgil of Knoxville, Velma Perser and Dickie of Marietta, GA, and Eunice Henry of Knoxville. Sons: Ledford Henry and wife, Wanda of Elgin, Winford Henry and wife, Betty of Indiana, Dolphus Henry and Brenda of Helenwood, and Fisher Henry of Sunbright; step-daughter, Ruby Kearney of Knoxville; several grandchildren, great, grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, and step-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 26, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Sunbright. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Bro. Charles Webb officiating. A graveside service will be held Saturday, at 11:00 a.m. in the Coal Hill Cemetery in Glen Mary.
