Geraldine Adkisson

Mrs. Geraldine Schubert Adkisson of Rockwood, entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, November 24, 2009, after battling a long illness. She was born April 26, 1926 in Morgan County. She was the daughter of the late, Ott and Rachel Schubert. She was a member of the Harriman Baptist Tabernacle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; son, Bill; sisters: Arietta Keeney, Glenna Schubert, and Mary Green; brothers; Anderson, Henderson, Woodrow, and Merilynn.

She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law: Jo and Charles Hensley, Brenda and Paul Parson, Becky Basler, and Carolee and Lance Treadway; three sons and daughters-in-law: Harold L. and Carolyn Adkisson, Bryon and Tammy Adkisson, and Larry and Lacey Adkisson; sisters: Wanda Shipe and Juanita Jones; special niece, Trula Ruppe; brother-in-law, Harry Shipe; 12 grandsons; 6 granddaughters; 15 great, grandchildren; and so many wonderful friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 28th from 12 to 2 p.m. at Harriman Baptist Tabernacle, Harriman. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. James Jones and Bro. Jeff Parrott officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Church Cemetery, Wartburg.
