Mrs. Glenna Nelson Scott, age 95, a resident of Wartburg, passed away on December 9, 2009 at the Life Care Center of Morgan County. She was a beloved homemaker, care giver, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great, grandmother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wartburg, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam F. Scott; son, John F. Scott; grandson, Robert F. Scott; great grandson, Grant Dewayne Gosnell; parents, Sam and Emma Nelson of Catoosa; mother-in-law, Rachel Scott; sister-in-law, Ruth Scott; two brothers: Lonnie Nelson of the Dyllis Community and Lester Nelson of Ohio; sister-in-law, Aileen Nelson of Wartburg.

Mrs. Scott is survived by two daughters: Ruby Gosnell and husband, Howard of Wartburg, and Rachel Smith and husband, Lee of Lancing; six grandchildren: Harry Gosnell and wife, Tammy of Burville, Melissa Winegar and husband, Randy of Wartburg, Serita Phillips of Wartburg, Nancy Carter and husband, Greg, Betty Diden and husband, Daniel, and Carol Aytes and husband, Tim all of Lancing; thirteen great, grandchildren: Meghan Dagley and husband, Justin, Alisha Winegar, Tori Phillips, Troy Gosnell, and Elaine Gosnell of Wartburg, Dustin Diden, Derek Diden, Nina Carter, Tyler Carter, Alexandra Aytes, and Reagen Aytes of Lancing, Matthew West and wife, Melissa of Oneida, and Autumn Nagy of Burville; two brothers: Lloyd Nelson of Mossy Grove and Leo Nelson and wife, Ernestine of Catoosa; sister, Anna Mae Drake of Ohio; sisters-in-law: Helen Nelson of Dyllis and Lucy Nelson of Ohio; special friend, Billy White of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 12, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home,Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Bro. Roy Langley and Bro. Randy Winegar officiating. A graveside service will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in the Wartburg City Cemetery.
