Grant D. (Doug) Thomas of Wartburg

Grant D. (Doug) Thomas age 60 of Wartburg, entered Heaven’s gates on January 6, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was a member of the Meadowview Baptist Church, Wartburg.

Doug was loved by many.  He was a hard working man, so much so that work was his hobby.  He enjoyed more than anything being in church and telling others about His Lord & Savior.

He cherished his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Sue (Grant) Thomas, infant brother A.C.,

Sisters; Wilma Jarnagin and Evelyn Thomas.

He is survived by his children; Stacie (Trampas) Basler, Jessica (Daniel) Jeffers and Brent Shelton (Chelsey Aytes).

The mother of his children and friend Shirley Thomas.

Grandchildren:  Megan and Destiny Basler, Abby, Gabe and Luke Jeffers, Luella Shelton, Makayla, Jerricha and Thomas Davis and Makinzie Hicks.

Also Many family & friends who loves him and will miss him dearly until we see him again in Heaven.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 6-8 pm Schubert Funeral Home Wartburg.  Funeral Services will be Wednesday 1 pm Meadowview Baptist Church, Wartburg, with Bro. Joey Aytes and Bro. Ralph Nance officiating.  Interment will follow in the Basler Family Cemetery, Wartburg.
