Helen Laughter, of Wartburg, TN

Helen Brewer Laughter, 87, of Wartburg, went home to be with the Lord August 28, 2018 in the Life Care Center of Morgan County. She loved attending the church services and visiting with the different churches that came to the nursing home to visit. She was also a loving mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hansford Brewer and Dora Armes; husband, J.D. Laughter; daughter, Phyllis (Star) Sexton Sanders; brothers, Manford Brewer, Glen Brewer, Garrett Brewer and Kenneth Thornton; sisters, Edna Pearson, Lillian Kivett and Macel Basler.

She is survived by her sons, Rodger (Beverly) Sexton and James (Katie) Laughter; grandchildren, Sherri Sweatman, Melissa (Lonnie) Moore, Michael (Kenya) Sexton, David Henry, Dana (Ron) Payne, Rocky (Donna) Laughter, Wendell (Rhonda) Laughter and Tammy (David) Laughter; 19 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; brother, Cecil Brewer and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 31, 2018 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 6:00-8:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Bro. Bill Goodman officiating. Graveside will be Saturday at 11: 00 a.m. in the Mossy Grove Cemetery.
