James Kelly Hamby, age 61, passed away on May 10, 2026.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ray & Hattie Hamby; sister Mary Lou Shannon; brothers R.P. and Steve Hamby; brothers-in-law Sydney Clark, William Johnson, and William Brown.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years Pamela; son Aaron (Madison) Hamby; granddaughter Vada; brothers Burnis (Brenda) Hamby, Roger (Terri) Hamby, Nathan (Darlene) Hamby, Jimmy (Monica) Hamby; sisters Joann Clark, and Bobbie Sue Johnson; In-laws Johnny Shannon, Nadine Hamby, Karen Brown, Bobbie Gail (Eddie) Forsythe, Tub (Andrea) Shannon, Matthew (Sydney) Lamance, Debbie Lamance, and a host of extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Schubert Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Bro. Jeff Beard officiating. Graveside services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Hamby Cemetery in Lancing.
