James Smith

Mr. James Theodore Smith, age 71 of Crossville (formerly of Morgan County) passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Cumberland Medical Center. James was retired from Caterpillar of Joliet, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Luvell Smith; parents, Everett and Gracie Smith; and brothers: Chester, and Jesse Smith.
James was a loving father to his children.

He is survived by his children: Gregory James and Becky Smith, Chris and Mindy Smith of Joliet, Il., Kermit and Mary Wright, Gail Young of Wartburg, Linda and Larry Landrum of Crossville; grandchildren: Gabrielle, Matthew, and Amanda Smith, Angie and Chad Payne, Jenny and Chris Meer, Thomas (Scooter) Young, Steve and Shannon Green, Jessica and Joey Campbell, and Heather and Andrew Monroe; nine great, grandchildren; sisters: Imogene, Mary, Alice, and Ruth; special friend: Frances Durham; numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 29th from 11-2 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Shawn Durham officiating. Interment will follow in the High Point Cemetery, Deer Lodge.
