Jason HARRIS

Jason Owen Harris 34, of Wartburg, passed away August 8, 2009, at UT Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on July 16, 2009. Graduate of Coalfield High School where he earned All State Honors for pitching in the State Tournament. He also pitched for the Oak Ridge Knights earning third place in the Connie Mack State Tournament. After high school he pitched for the Roane State Community College baseball team. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was the owner of Harris Brothers Construction and also the owner/operator of Harris Deer Processing. Member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. Jason attended Mossy Grove Baptist Church and had a special love for his pastor Jim Disney. Preceeded in death by grandmother Juanita Eddington. Survivors include wife of 12 years Heather Jackson Harris; precious daughter Madalyn Grace; father, Owen (Claire) Harris; mother, Lana Harris; brothers, Rick, and Daniel (Melissa) Harris; grandfather, Paul Eddington; step sisters, Phyllis (Glen) Clinton, and Sandy (Michael) Trail; step brother Ronald (Karen) Coker; father and mother-in-law Charles (Bit) Jackson; sisters-in-law, Angie (Keith) Raby, and Carmen (Tim) Hines; and a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on August 10th at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with funeral service to follow, Reverends Jim Disney and Ronald Guthrie officiating. Burial will be at 11:00 AM on August 11th at Mossy Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers; Ben Jackson, Jerry Jackson, Wesley Duncan, Randy Maston, Kenneth Williams, and Ronnie Greer. Schubert Funeral Home of Wartburg is in charge of funeral arrangements.
