Jeanie Ward

Mrs. Jeanie Ward passed away on September 17, 2025 surrounded by her family. Born on November 5, 1950, Jeanie’s life was defined by love, selflessness and an enduring dedication to her family.

As a cherished wife, mother, nanny, and sister, she was always full of life and laughter.

Jeanie loved decorating for and celebrating Christmas. Trick or treaters would stop by her house for Halloween candy and end up admiring her eight beautifully decorated Christmas trees she would have up instead. She delighted in the act of Christmas giving to family, friends, and even her grandkids’ furry friends.

Jeanie loved her family so much and would faithfully attend every ballgame, recital, birthday, and other milestones, always arriving early to claim her seat in the front row, where she cheered the loudest and loved the hardest.

Jeanie is preceded in death by her father Eugene Branstetter and mother Rusty Branstetter, father-in-law Bill Ward and mother-in-law Lorene Ward.

She leaves behind devoted husband of 55 years, Phillip Ward; one son Billy (Ashley) Ward and one daughter Jill (Greg) Evans; five grandchildren, Dylan, Daltyn, Katelyn, Nathan, and Braelyn; sisters Sue (George) Clark, Ann (Glen) Freytag, Mary (Larry) Morgan, Patty (Clay) Donahue, and Sandra Branstetter; one brother David (Ang) Branstetter; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Schubert Funeral Home in Warburg from 2:00-3:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles Northrup officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunbright Cemetery in Sunbright.
