Jerry Hamby, of Scutcheon

Jerry Hamby, age 73 of Lancing passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Methodist Medical Center.

Jerry loved to coon hunt and going 4 wheeling, but most of all he loved playing with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Sam & Nola Hamby; brothers Farrell Hamby, Ruben Hamby and Phillip Hamby.

He leaves behind his wife of 45 years Lois Swint Hamby; sons Greg (Heather) Hines and Shann (Kelly) Hamby; grandchildren Brittanie, Dillon and Ava Hines, and Ashley Harper and Jessica Hamby; sisters Evelyn Cole, Shelia (Tommy) Hardin and Creless Hamby and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

The family will have a graveside service Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the Hamby Family Cemetery in Lancing at 12:00 p.m. with Bro. Jerry Gibson officiating.
