Mr. Jessie James Lowe, age 75 of Kingston went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, July 9, 2009, in the Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, Knoxville. Jessie was a retired coal miner. He enjoyed being an airplane pilot and making furniture. He was a member and a trustee of Maple Grove Baptist Church in Ten Mile.

He was preceded in death by his two sons: James Frankie Lowe and Jessie Keith Lowe; Daughter: Freida Gean Lowe; Parents: Jessie and Nancy Irene Lowe; 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Bernice Seiber Lowe; Daughter and son-in-law: Gail and Joe Ray of Ten Mile; Son: James Danny Lowe of Kingston; four grandchildren: Randy Ray of Kingston, Billy Ray of Ten Mile, Crystal Lowe of Kingston, and Joshua Lowe of Kingston; five great grandchildren: Lace and Diamond Ray of Athens, TN, Tyler Ray of Ten Mile, Kristian Ray of Kingston, Dakota Lowe Hunter of Kingston; and sister: Lola Jean McDaniel of Kingston.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening July12, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 13, 2009, 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lester Gunn and Rev. Joe Andrew officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson Memorial Gardens, in Clinton.
