Jewell Freels

Jewell Arzina Freels, 92 of Wartburg passed away Monday, September 5, 2016at her home.

During WW II, she worked at the K-25 Defense Plant in Oak Ridge. She taught school at several schools in Morgan County and served as the first Head Start Director.

She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Wartburg.

Mrs. Freels was preceded in death by her husband, David Lloyd Freels,

Parents, Luther and Louverina Potter, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earl and Nellie Freels, brothers, Obrum and Cleo Potter, daughter-in-law, Winnie Freels and grandchild, Jonathan Charles Freels.

She is survived by her Son, Gary Freels of Sunbright, Son and daughter-in-law, David and Lois Freels of Wartburg, Daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Richard Keller of Maryland,

Nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 5-7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will follow with her grandsons, Stephen and Robert Freels and her Pastor, Dr. Paul Frick officiating.

Graveside services will be held Friday, 11:00 am in Morgan Memorial Gardens, Wartburg, TN
