Mr. Jimmy Lecil Ford formerly of Morgan County, TN, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky, having attained the age of 74 years, 11 months, and 18 days. He was born on Sunday, October 7,1951, in Jameston, TN., the son of Floyd & Winnie (Kivett) Ford, grandson of the late Henderson & Vicy Ford, and the late Preacher Charlie & Frankie Ely. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elaine (Smith) Ford, he married on September2, 2006; son, Ron Ford, brothers, Cecil Ford, Kenneth Ford, and sister, Wilma Crabtree.

He was of the Baptist faith, a member of Caney Branch Church, and worked for many years as a factory worker. Jimmy proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, and was known for the love he had for his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Shasta (& Hoot) Long of Petros, TN, bonus daughters, Treba (& Terry) McFall, Marla (& Lyndon) Parmley of Monticello, KY, Kim (& Jason) Brown of Albany, KY, bonus son, Dennis (& Megan) Sells of Burkesville, KY, brother, Glen Ford of Oak Ridge, TN, niece, Erica Burgess of Cookeville, TN, brother-in-law, Donnie Crabree, of Crossville, TN, a host of grandchildren; Seth (& Keele) Long, Jordan Long, Abby Ford, Madison (& Cameron) Silcox, Tiffany Long (& Rick) Marlow, Brett (& Tosha) McFall, Olivia Sells, Dylan Parmley, Derrick Sells, Burk Sells, Millie Brown, Myles Riddle, Maverick Riddle, great-grandchildren; Jeb Long, Tate Long, Bryson Silcox, Layney Silcox, Natalie Griffith, Maycie Marlow, Sadie Marlow, Briley McFall, Braxton McFall, Caylie Tucker, and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 3:00 pm CST in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Donald McGill and Bro. Dennis Sells officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday afternoon beginning at 1:00pm until the funeral hour. Burial will be in the Caney Branch Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky.
