Joan Walker, of Sunbright, TN

Joan R. Walker, age 77, passed away December 2, 2019 at her home.  She was a retired teacher of 40+ years at Sunbright High School.  She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed simple peasures of life.  She had a special fur friend “Randy” who loved her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Mary Stromski; husband, George Walker; grandparents, Alexander and Stella Petronsky and brother, George Petronsky.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Lee (Marcy) Walker and Kenny Walker; grandchildren, Kelsey Walker, Lee Walker Jr. and Jennifer Thomas.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Schubert Funeral Home in Sunbright from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. Ed Walker and Bro. Herb Judkins officiating.  Interment will follow in the Byrd Cemetery in Sunbright.
