Juanita Simpson

Juanita Simpson, age 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 4, 2026, at her home at 11:33 a.m. She was born November 27, 1931, in Hazard, KY, to Lacie and Sallie Belle Collins.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Kenneth Lee Simpson; daughters Martha (Marty) Richardson, Deborah “Debbie” Lynn Dill, Raymond Jack Holland; brothers Edward (Ollie) Collins, Forrest Collins; sisters Audrey Jennings, Edith, and Geneva Cook, and Alva Brown.

She is survived by daughters Terry Lee Cambron and Tracey Dee Kreis; grandchildren David Lee Dill (Tammy), Daniel David Dill, Michael Lee Kries, Bryon and Joey Richardson, Anthony and Amanda and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Juanita loved her job at Sunbright School as our lunch lady. She always made sure the kids had plenty to eat. She was of the Baptist faith and was calling on the Lords name while taking her last breath. She will be missed by many.

The family will receive friends Monday, August 10, 2026, at Schubert Funeral Home from 3:00-4:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow in the Sunbright Cemetery with Bro. Charles Webb officiating.
