June Jenkins

June Alice Jenkins, age 83 of Coalfield passed away February 21, 2025 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. 

June loved spending time, and taking care of her family. She enjoyed going to church and she loved the Lord. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Jenkins; daughters Allenia and Michelle; son Lee (Leo) Jenkins,  grandson Aaron Trey Gunter.

She is survived by her son James Jenkins, Charles (Cheryl) Woodstock, Charles (Tami) Shedd and Craig (Mary) Shedd; grandchildren Hope Louise Jenkins, Peyton Michael Lee McCarter, Shyann Micole Jenkins, Elijah James Freels, Danielle, and Lee Thomas McCarter; daughter Cheryl (Charles) Woodstock; great grandchildren Myia Freels, Maverick Brys, and Allenia Turpin and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Bro. James Basler officiating. Graveside services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Western Cemetery in Coalfield.
