Lee A. Saffell, Sr., of Knoxville

Lee A. Saffell, Sr., age 77, passed away February 10, 2021 at Ft. Sanders Regional in Knoxville, Tn.  He was born January 1, 1944 in Lancing, Tn.  Retired from the U.S. Army and a Vietnam Veteran.

He is preceded in death by his parents, C.H. Saffell and Mary Collins Saffell of Wartburg; brother, Larry Saffell of Wartburg; wife, Virginia Saffell; grandchild, Jessica.

He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Daniel (companion, David Canada); daughter, Darla Armes; son, Lee Saffell, Jr. and wife, Mindy Saffell; daughter, Tammie Bean and husband, Randy; grandchildren, Sarah, James, Rodney (Anna), Roseanna (Clyde), Jeremy (Geneva), Crystal, Lacey, Misty, Kayla (Derin), Andrew (Krystina); 36 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchildren; companion, Nellie McBee; ex-wife, Judy Saffell; sisters, Frieda Householder and Janie Whitson; brother, Garry Saffell and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 10:00-12:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 12:00 p.m. with Bro. Lynn Gaylon officiating.  Interment will follow in the Wartburg City Cemetery with Military Honors American Legion Post #149.
