Leroy Freels

Leroy Freels (76), born May 22, 1938, went home to be with the Lord on July 7, 2014 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was a member of the Masonic Fraternity: New Faith Lodge #768 and the Sunbright Order of the Eastern Star #303.

He is preceded in death by two infant sons, Michael and Tony Freels; Mother and Father, Ella and Lonnie Freels; Sister, Janie Freels; and brother, Ray Freels.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Donna Kay Gunter Freels; Daughter, Lisa Anne Freels Bunch; Two grandsons, Matthew Landon Bunch and Markkus Lee-Anthony Bunch, all of Sunbright; step-grandson Michael Lynn Bunch of Joyner; Sister, June and husband Don Redmond of Wartburg; Brother-in-law Buster and wife Derita Gunter of Helenwood; Niece Rhonda and husband Steve Wedemeyer of Farragut; Nephews Lynn and wife Diane Redmond, Johnny and Judy Redmon all of Wartburg; as well as a host of great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 10 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Schubert Funeral Home in Sunbright with a Masonic service to follow.
Funeral services will then follow with Bro. Mark Langley officiating. Graveside services will be held 1:00 pm Friday, July 11 at the Sunbright Cemetery
