Mary Davis

Mary Long Davis, age 86 passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Methodist Medical Center. She was a member of Petros Methodist church but attended and loved her Sunday School Class at Petros Baptist Church. She was a member of the Sunrise Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star; Order of the Amaranth of Crown Point, IN; Aretas Temple Daughter of the Nile of Michigan City, IN; F C E Club of Petros and Petros Senior Citizens Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin L. Davis; her parents Riley and Bessie long; brothers Alvin, Edwin, Owen, Orton (Slick), Harold, Gilbert and Floyd (Hoot); sisters Herlene Dickens, Geneva Melroy, Kay Bradshaw and Janice Hurt.
She is survived by her sons: John and his wife Beverly of Pittsburgh PA and Bill and his wife Linda of Petros, TN; her granddaughters: Leigh Ann Emerson of Clinton MD, Ashley Wing and her husband Jon of Lafayette IN, Brianna and Caitlin Davis of Pittsburgh, PA; grandson: John and his wife Amanda of Clinton TN; great grandson: Jayden Emerson of Clinton, MD, her brother: Rev. Don Long and his wife Nora of Harriman TN, sister-in-laws: Della, Doris and Judy Long of Harriman, TN; a host of loving nephews, nieces and cousins, her life- long special friend: Eleanor Burns and many other dear friends.
The family will meet at Schubert Funeral Home at 1:30 Sunday, May 17, 2015. A graveside service will follow at 2:30pm in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Rockwood, TN. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Petros Senior Citizens Center.
