Mattie Lewis

Mrs. Mattie (Sam) Ooten Lewis went home to be with the Lord on August 22, 2010. She was a member of the White Oak Baptist Church, Oakdale and worked as a seamstress at Edwards Shoe Store for many years.

She was preceded in death by husbands; Joe Burton and Lloyd (Curly) Lewis, parents; Hobert and Laura Ooten, sister and brother-in-law; Mae and Bill (Sonny) Mathis, brothers and sisters-in-law; Herbert (Jr.) and Almira Ooten, Glen and Ruth Ooten, Carl and Joyce Ooten, nieces, Darlene andTeresa Ooten, nephews; Donald (Buzz) Mathis , Kenny and Ernie Ooten and special nephew Davey Maddox.

Mrs. Lewis is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews, many cousins, friends and a special friend Gene Tate.

Memorial service will be Saturday August 28, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Mossy Grove Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
