Melissa Christopher, born Melissa Brackner, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 21, 2025, at her home. She was 56 years old.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on August 22, 1968, Melissa was known for her strength, dedication, and unwavering love for her family. She was a proud mother to her two children, Samantha Martin and Morgan Christopher, who were the center of her world.

Melissa worked at Y-12, where she was respected for her hard work and commitment. Whether at work or at home, she always gave her best—providing for her family and being someone her loved ones could always turn to.

She is survived by her children, Samantha and Morgan; her stepparent, Johnny Allen; her siblings, James Brackner, Denise Arrants, and Eric Brackner; and her nephew, Clyde Jr. Melissa’s memory will live on through the lives she touched with her kindness, warmth, and the open ear she always offered when someone needed to talk.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
