Melissa "Missy" Nance, of Wartburg

Melissa "Missy" Nance of Wartburg, passed away June 28th 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Missy instilled incredible strength into her children, was a devoted grandmother and loyal wife, and a loving sister. She worked hard her whole life and was always there to lend a helping hand to all who needed it. She enjoyed crocheting, bird watching and tending to her flowers. 

She is preceded in death by; mother Leona Rose Humphrey; father David Humphrey. 

She is survived by husband Bucky Nance; daughters Jessica Humphrey, Tiffany Young, and Jennifer Reynolds; son Chris Brown; sister Renea Smith; brother David Humphrey; step-daughter Natasha Daugherty; step-son Steven Nance; mother-in-law Joann Vann; grandchildren Lucas Young, Audrey Young, Kingsley, Jordan, A.J., Kamryn, Ava, Remington, Harper, Carter, Jedidiah, Elliot, Hugh, Everett and Isla.

And a host of family and friends. 

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 4:00-6:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Bobby Stewart officiating.  Interment will follow in the Nance Family Cemetery.
