Porter Ooten

Mr. Porter Ooten Jr. age 75, known to his family and friends as Junior, succumbed to cancer at his home in Harriman on September 6, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents; Porter Sr. and Doris Ooten. Brothers; J.B. & Everette Ooten, Sisters; Edith Ooten, Irene Lyons & Evelyn Walker. After graduating from Sunbright High School he joined the Air Force and retired at Shaw AFB, SC. Starting another career, he worked for Textron Aerostructers in Nashville. Porter loved to restore antique clocks and going fishing.
Porter will be sadly missed by his wife, Virginia Young Ooten

Michael & companion Tammy
Granddaughters: Sara & Bethany
Sisters: Charlene Walker & Iva Haroulakis
Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends Sunday September 8, 2013 at Schubert Funeral Home in Sunbright from 1-3:00. Funeral services will follow with Bro. Perry Spurling officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Grove Cemetery, Sunbright, TN.
