Richard Olmstead

Richard "Allen" Olmstead, age 52, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 around 1:30pm. He was at home for a few days after a stay at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Daystar Church of Lenior City. He was recently employed at the Roane County Highway department and was a graduate of Roane County High School. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clifford and Gula Barnette of Deer Lodge and Carl and Molly Olmstead of Sunbright ; father, Jack Olmstead of Huntsville, Alabama; brothers, Terry and Tommy Olmstead also of Huntsville, Alabama and several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by mother, Betty B. Brown of Midtown; brother, Tim Olmstead and wife Teresa of Kingston; nieces, Jennifer Maxwell and Casey of Kingston, Ashley Lawson and Adam of Harriman; nieces and nephews, Devon, Jaden and Nicole Maxwell and Skyler and Kenny Lawson; and a special friend Tom Ledbetter.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 11, 2016 from 1:00 to 2:00PM at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 2:00PM with Rev. Keith Price officiating. Family and friends will meet following the funeral for a graveside service
at Mount Hope Cemetery, Deer Lodge.
