Ruth Smith

Ruth Ellen McCormick Smith, age 97, of Wartburg, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Luverna McCormick; husband, Willard Smith; son, Thomas Ray Smith; infant daughter, Lyla Marie Smith; brother, Eugene McCormick; and sister, Reba McCormick Sanders.

She is survived by sons, Lee (Rachel Scott) Smith of Lancing; Roy (Barbara Hamby) Smith of Wartburg; daughter, Agnes Jean (Terry) West of Anderson, SC; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 6 great, great grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 6:00 to8:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 8:00PM. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Kubley Cemetery, Lancing.
