Samuel Moore

Mr. Samuel Joe Moore, age 75of Oliver Springs, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010 in the Park West Hospital, Knoxville. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by parents: Clifford and Nellie Rose Moore; brothers: W.L. and Jimmy Ray; and sisters: Patsy Gouge and Betty Rose Bunch.

He is survived by sons: Clifford Joe Moore and wife, Terry of Knoxville, Victor Dale Moore and wife, Gwyn of Kingston, and David Turnbill of Harriman; daughters: Juanita Moore of Florida, Vickie Chapman and husband, Ricky of LaFollette, Michelle Moore of Oliver Springs, and Tonya Oran and husband, Scott of Kingston; brother, Alonzo Moore of Petros; sisters: Faye Elmore of Petros and Emma Lou Moore of Florida; and by several grandchildren and great, grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 11 to 2 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Will Gouge and Bro. Waylon Payne officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Petros Cemetery with full military honors.
