Victor Ryan Galloway, 88 of Sparta, TN. formerly of Morgan County, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Life Care Center of Sparta, TN.
Mr. Galloway was born April 28, 1921 in Burrville.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II as a radar man on the minesweepers U.S.S. Redstart and U.S.S. Revenge.
Mr. Galloway received his law degree from Cumberland University in Lebanon and worked most of his career as an attorney for Hartford Insurance in Nashville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; George F. and Josie Ryan Galloway,
two brothers; Samuel Galloway and John W. Galloway, Sr. and great nephew, Chris Galloway.

He is survived by a sister, Mary E. Haagen of Grand Rapids, Michigan;
Brother; George D. Galloway of Sunbright; sister-in-law; Fern Galloway of Nashville; six nieces, Teresa Covington, Jennifer Brindley, Terry Miling, Karla Harvill, Melissa Miling and Lori Lyons; and four nephews, Gregory Galloway, Roger Galloway, John W. Galloway, Jr. and Alan B. Galloway; close friend, Jake Libby and godson, Victor Libby as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 19, 2009 from 10- 11:00 a.m.(EDT) at Schubert Funeral Home in Sunbright, TN
Funeral servives will begin at 11 a.m. with Bro. Frank Kirby officiating. Internment will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery in Burrville.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Schubert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
