Walter Rich

Mr. Walter Rich passed away May 24, 2018, at the UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willard Rich and Cora Hall; In-laws, Lemmie and Annabelle Potter; son, Tim Rich; brothers, Charles and Larry Rich; brother-in-law, Paul Potter and Bob Riley.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Melba Potter; son, Walter and Karen Rich; daughter, Tonya and Dennis Wilkes; grandchildren, Kris (CJ), Matthew (Stephanie), Amber (Eric), Jessica (Mike) and Tim Rich; great grandchildren, Alexia, Isabelle, Lily and C.J. Reyes, Kaitlyn, Megan, Lucas Thompson and Delilah Ottosen; brothers, Jim (Jo), Darrell (Kim) and Rick; sister, Jean (David) Smallman; sister-in-law, Maisel (Tom) Harney, Jo (Jim) Rich, Sharon (Lester) Heidle and Gayle (Bobby) Hamby and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with the funeral to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. Steve Gadd officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Cemetery in Wartburg.
