Wanda Hunter

Mrs.Wanda Lee (Conner) Hunter, age 64 of Coalfield, went to be with her heavenly Father on Friday, November 6th, 2009.
She was of the Baptist Faith and attended Big Mountain Baptist Church of Coalfield. Wanda was and always will be an inspiration to all those who knew her. For many years her earthly body was broken and she suffered through many medical conditions, but no one could touch her spirit and her strength to survive. Even on her worst day of pain, she was a source of strength and encouragement to her family. She will always be loved, cherished, and deeply missed by her family and friends. But it is a great comfort to know that Wanda is in Jesus' arms and she's not in pain, because she has gained so much more than this world could ever offer.
She was preceded in death by her parents: James L. and Hallie (Harris) Conner; step-mother: Eva Young Smith Conner; and brother: David R. Conner.

Wanda is loved by and will be forever missed by her husband of 46 years and her best friend, Danny Hunter of Coalfield; she is survived by daughters and son-in-law: Tammy and David Pack of Harriman and Robin and Robin Wakefield of Coalfield; Grandchildren: Courtney and Caitlyn Wakefield and Lacey, Tre', and Christina Pack; sisters and brothers: Lou Dean and Jackie Bradshaw, Carolyn Basler of Petros, Robert and Julie Conner of Oliver Springs, Bill Conner of Coalfield, and Angel and Craig Castle of Knoxville; step-sisters: Loretta Champion and Jim and Lois Thompson of the Nashville area; many aunts and uncles; and a very special baby friend, Zion

The family will receive friends Sunday evening, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., November 8, 2009 at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg.
Funeral services will follow at 7:30 p.m. with Bro. Dewey Brown and Bro. Lonnie Lowe officiating.
