Mr. Wilbert Tackett, age 87 of Wartburg passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025 in Rocky Top, TN.
He is preceded in death by his wife Lorine Tackett; previous wife, Ora Ellen Byrge Tackett; daughter Dorothy Lou; brother Lee Tackett; sister Marie Kennedy
Wilbert is survived by 3 sons, Robert, James, and John Tackett; 2 daughters Litha Kennedy and Verdie & Herbert Kennedy; stepdaughter Elaine Cox; sisters-in-law Pauline Leab and Sue Carroll; brother-in-law Ray Young and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 12:00-1:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Otis Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the Jones Cemetery on Red Oak Mountain.
