Luke Ward, of Wartburg, TN

Rev. Luke Ward of Mossy Grove went home to be with his heavenly father on Friday, January 31, 2020. He always said, the greatest day of his life was the day he gave his life to the Lord. The two things he loved more than anything were the Lord and his family. His grandkids were his world. He will always be remembered for the husband, dad, and grandpa he was.

He is preceded in death by his parents, L.M. and Aline Ward.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Trish Ward; three children: Ginger (Bill) Blair, Lucas Ward, and Jessica (Skylar) Sampsel; eight grandchildren: Josh, Lexi, and Elijah Moore, Tanaya, Braaklynn, and Skylan Ward, and Kinsley and Emmarie Sampsel; brothers: Tim (Lisa) Ward and Chris (Diane) Ward; and sisters: Debbie Kirby and Edith Pace.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 2, at 1:00 p.m. at Schubert funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Ward and Rev. Ray Ward officiating. Interment will follow in the Armes Chapel Cemetery.
